OpenAI is pulling its models from Cursor after Elon Musk’s SpaceX bought the popular AI coding company. The change will not happen immediately. OpenAI plans to end its agreement with Cursor on November 12, 2026. Until then, developers can continue using existing OpenAI models through the coding platform. There is another catch. Cursor will not receive OpenAI’s future models during the transition. The decision comes just weeks after SpaceX completed its $60 billion acquisition of Cursor.
