    Key Takeaways

    • Seoul AI developers partnership expands through increased cooperation with global AI companies, aiming to become a global AI center.
    • The city plans to train 10,000 AI specialists annually, with substantial support for graduate-level education.
    • Seoul AI Tech City will significantly increase the current AI hub’s size, fostering research and innovation.
    • A 500 billion Korean won fund will bolster AI startups and technological advancements.
    • International cooperation will enhance partnerships with global technology firms and universities, driving AI innovation.

The Seoul AI developers partnership is expanding as the city government strengthens cooperation with international artificial intelligence companies and researchers. Seoul is increasing engagement with global AI developers to build a stronger innovation ecosystem. The initiative aims to position the city as a global center for artificial intelligence research, talent, and industry development. The strategy was highlighted during the AI Seoul conference held at the COEX convention center. Mayor Oh Se-hoon presented policies designed to accelerate AI development through international cooperation, investment, and training programs.

Talent programs support Seoul AI developers partnership

The Seoul AI developers partnership includes large-scale plans to develop artificial intelligence talent. The city plans to train around 10,000 AI specialists every year. Approximately 4,000 trainees will be educated through the Seoul Software Academy. Another 6,000 students will receive training through university programs. These initiatives aim to address the growing global demand for AI professionals.

Seoul will also provide financial support for graduate-level AI education. Around 600 million Korean won will fund scholarships for about 60 master’s students each year. The program focuses on artificial intelligence and science-related fields. Authorities expect the initiative to strengthen research capabilities and increase the number of qualified AI engineers and scientists.

Infrastructure expansion strengthens Seoul AI developers partnership

Infrastructure development is another key element of the Seoul AI developers partnership strategy. The city plans to build a large technology complex called Seoul AI Tech City. The project will expand the current AI hub located in Yangjae-dong. The area will grow from approximately 27,000 square meters to about 270,000 square meters. Construction is expected to begin in 2028.

The complex will include research facilities, startup offices, academic institutions, residential areas, and cultural spaces. The project is designed to attract technology companies, researchers, and AI startups from around the world.

Investment and global cooperation in Seoul AI developers partnership

The Seoul AI developers partnership also includes financial investment in artificial intelligence innovation. Seoul plans to create a fund worth about 500 billion Korean won. The fund will support AI startups, research initiatives, and technology development.

The city is also promoting cooperation with international technology companies and universities. Partnerships may involve major global AI developers and research institutions. Additional initiatives include public AI events, development of AI data platforms, and integration of AI tools into city administrative services.
