    Key Takeaways

    • Tareq Amin introduced the Saudi AI operating model, aiming for large-scale AI deployment in core business operations.
    • The model highlights three execution challenges: unclear business outcomes, inadequate data preparation, and structural isolation of AI projects.
    • HUMAIN operates over 150 AI agents through the unified platform ‘HUMAIN One,’ allowing employees to use natural language commands.
    • The model supports gigawatt-scale data centers, positioning Saudi Arabia as a global AI infrastructure provider.
    • HUMAIN consolidates various Saudi AI assets, aiming to boost national AI capabilities under the Public Investment Fund.

The Saudi AI operating model was introduced by HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin at the PIF Private Sector Forum 2026. The announcement outlined how Saudi Arabia plans to structure and execute large-scale AI deployment. The Saudi AI operating model focuses on embedding artificial intelligence into core business operations rather than limiting it to pilot projects.

Amin referenced data from MIT indicating that 90% to 95% of enterprise generative AI pilots fail. He attributed failures to weak execution, unclear objectives, and limited integration into operational systems.

Execution Challenges in the Saudi AI Operating Model

The Saudi AI operating model identifies three primary barriers to AI success. The first barrier is the absence of clearly defined business outcomes. Many organizations deploy AI tools without measurable targets.

The second barrier is inadequate data preparation. Poor data quality reduces AI system effectiveness.

The third barrier is structural isolation. AI projects are often confined to IT departments instead of being integrated into company-wide workflows.

The model requires AI systems to operate within business processes, not alongside them.

AI Agent Orchestration Under the Saudi AI Operating Model

A central feature of the Saudi AI operating model is an AI agent orchestration platform. HUMAIN operates more than 150 AI agents internally. These agents are managed through a unified interface known as “HUMAIN One.”

Employees interact with systems using natural language commands. Traditional desktop applications are not required. The platform connects AI models to HR systems, finance operations, project management tools, and travel services. It also integrates with external partners.

Infrastructure and National Strategy in the Saudi AI Operating Model

The Saudi AI operating model includes large-scale compute infrastructure. HUMAIN plans gigawatt-scale data center campuses. These facilities are intended to support domestic and global AI workloads.

HUMAIN was formed by consolidating Saudi AI assets, including capabilities from Saudi Aramco and Aramco Digital. The company operates under the Public Investment Fund. The objective is to position Saudi Arabia as a global provider of AI infrastructure and compute capacity.
