Anthropic announced a huge $65 billion Series H funding round that values the AI company at $965 billion post-money. The new round highlights the rapid growth of Anthropic’s Claude AI platform and the increased demand for enterprise-grade artificial intelligence tools.

The funding round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, with additional participation from major global investors and strategic technology partners.

Anthropic’s Claude Sees Rapid Enterprise Growth

Anthropic said the new investment comes as Claude continues to gain traction across global enterprises and everyday workplace use. The company reported that its run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion earlier this month, signaling strong commercial momentum for its AI products.

Claude has become a major player in the AI market, especially among businesses using AI for coding, workflow automation, research, customer support, and productivity. Anthropic said global enterprises are increasingly deploying Claude in core operations, showing how AI assistants are moving deeper into business processes.

What Anthropic Will Do With the $65B Funding

Anthropic said the Series H funding will be used to focus on three key priorities:

    • Advancing AI safety and interpretability research
    • Expanding compute capacity to meet Claude demand
    • Scaling products and partnerships for customers

Anthropic has built its brand around AI safety, responsible development and interpretability research. With the latest funding, the company is expected to push further into frontier AI research while also expanding the infrastructure needed to serve millions of users and enterprise customers.

Major Investors Back Anthropic’s AI Expansion

The funding round included several major investment firms and financial institutions. In addition to lead investors Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, the round was co-led by Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, and XN.

Other significant investors included Blackstone, Fidelity Management & Research Company, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, T. Rowe Price, Temasek, and others.

The round also includes $15 billion in previously committed investments from hyperscalers, including a previously announced $5 billion investment from Amazon.

    Anthropic Expands Compute Partnerships

Anthropic said it has recently expanded its compute capacity through major agreements with technology and infrastructure partners.

The company signed agreements with Amazon for up to five gigawatts of new capacity, as well as with Google and Broadcom for five gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity. Anthropic also announced access to GPU capacity through SpaceX’s Colossus 1 and Colossus 2.

The company said Claude is now the first frontier AI model available across the three largest cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. AWS remains Anthropic’s primary cloud provider and training partner.

Strategic Chip Partners Join the Round

Anthropic also highlighted strategic infrastructure partnerships with Micron, Samsung, and SK hynix. These companies are major players in memory, storage, and logic chip supply chains, which are essential for scaling advanced AI systems.

As AI demand increases, access to reliable compute and advanced semiconductor supply has become one of the most important factors in the race to build and deploy frontier AI models.

What This Means for the AI Industry

Anthropic’s $65 billion Series H funding round is one of the clearest signs yet that investor demand for frontier AI remains extremely strong. The company’s near-trillion-dollar valuation places it among the most valuable private AI companies in the world.

The funding also shows how the AI race is increasingly becoming an infrastructure race. Leading AI companies are not only competing on model performance, but also on compute access, cloud partnerships, enterprise adoption, and safety research.

For Anthropic, the investment provides the company with more resources to scale Claude, enhance its enterprise AI offerings and further the development of AI systems that are designed to be more helpful, reliable and safe.

Anthropic’s latest funding round is a huge milestone for the company and the AI industry at large. With $65 billion in new Series H funding, a valuation of $965 billion and Claude as one of the most important AI platforms for business, developers and the world, Anthropic is positioning itself to be a major player in the AI platform space.

With the rising demand for AI tools, Anthropic’s ability to scale up compute, expand partnerships and compete on AI safety could play a key role in shaping the next chapter of AI.
