    Key Takeaways

    • Around 70% of UAE companies plan to use artificial intelligence to combat AI-driven cyber threats.
    • Many organizations aim to enhance their security operations centres (SOCs) with AI for better monitoring and faster threat detection.
    • While 70% intend to improve SOCs, only 30% have firm plans for significant advancements using AI tools.
    • AI can reduce false alerts and improve threat identification, allowing teams to focus on critical incidents.
    • Companies face challenges like integration costs and a lack of skilled AI professionals as they adopt these technologies.

Around 70% of UAE companies are turning to artificial intelligence to defend against AI-driven cyber threats, according to a recent cybersecurity survey. Businesses are preparing to strengthen their digital protection systems as attackers increasingly use advanced AI tools.

The study shows that many organisations plan to integrate artificial intelligence into their security operations centres (SOCs). Companies believe AI can help analyse large volumes of data and detect unusual activity faster than traditional security systems.

AI Adoption in UAE Security Operations

The survey indicates that 70% of firms intend to build or enhance AI-enabled SOCs. These systems are designed to improve monitoring and response capabilities. About 58% of respondents said AI would be used to strengthen threat detection. Meanwhile, 46% plan to introduce automated response mechanisms.

Automation allows systems to take predefined action during a cyber incident. This can reduce reaction time and limit potential damage. However, only 30% of companies confirmed firm plans to significantly improve SOC performance using AI tools.

Some organisations face barriers to implementation. Reported challenges include integration costs and a shortage of skilled AI professionals.

    Rising AI-Driven Cyber Threats

The shift comes as AI-powered cyberattacks increase worldwide. Threat actors are using artificial intelligence to design more advanced attack methods. In the UAE, authorities have reported preventing organised cyberattacks targeting critical services. Some of these incidents involved AI-supported techniques.

Companies are also seeking to reduce false alerts. AI systems can improve accuracy in identifying genuine threats. This helps cybersecurity teams focus on high-risk incidents. Many firms remain in early stages of AI adoption while evaluating how best to integrate these technologies into existing security frameworks.
