Abu Dhabi, UAE — Machines Can Think Summit 2026 today announced Hub71 as its official Startup Partner, marking a significant collaboration aimed at accelerating the growth of AI and DeepTech companies through ecosystem-driven innovation.

As Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, Hub71 plays a central role in enabling high-growth startups to scale internationally by connecting founders with national champions, global enterprises, institutional investors, and government partners. Its participation reinforces the summit’s focus on moving beyond isolated innovation toward integrated, long-term value creation.

Reframing AI Investment for a Capital-Intensive Era

As part of the summit program, Ahmad Ali Alwan, Chief Executive Officer of Hub71, will take the stage for a featured panel discussion titled:

“Why Unicorn Logic Breaks in AI — and What Investors Should Do Instead.”

The session will examine how AI’s infrastructure-heavy, capital-intensive nature challenges traditional venture capital models built for fast-scaling software. Panelists will explore why valuation-driven approaches are increasingly misaligned with AI realities, and how ecosystem-level strategies, patient capital, and public-private collaboration are becoming essential for sustainable growth.

The discussion reflects Hub71’s deep engagement at the intersection of capital, policy, and innovation platforms.

Empowering Founders Through Startup Contest Day

In collaboration with Hub71 and the Incubation & Entrepreneurship Center of MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence), Machines Can Think Summit 2026 will also host Startup Contest Day — a highly selective pitch initiative designed to connect elite AI and DeepTech founders with institutional investors and corporate decision-makers.

    Startup Contest Day prioritizes:

    • High-signal, investor-grade exposure
    • Direct engagement with global capital allocators
    • Scalable, production-ready technologies
    • Long-term ecosystem integration rather than short-term fundraising

The program underscores Abu Dhabi’s position as a launchpad for globally relevant technology companies.

A Shared Commitment to Ecosystem-Driven Innovation

The partnership between Hub71 and Machines Can Think reflects a shared belief that the future of AI innovation depends on coordinated ecosystems, not isolated startups. By aligning founders, investors, enterprises, academia, and policymakers in one forum, the collaboration aims to accelerate responsible AI deployment and create durable economic impact.

Together, the partners are helping define a model for how AI ecosystems scale globally from Abu Dhabi.
