From User Events to AI-Powered Insights: Amplitude Nominated for 2026 World AI Awards

Amplitude has been nominated for the 2026 World AI Awards in the Event Analytics and Insights category, recognising its work in turning digital interactions into behavioural data that product, marketing and growth teams can actually use.

The premise behind Amplitude is fairly straightforward. A click, registration, purchase, feature interaction or abandoned journey becomes an event. Put enough of those events together and teams can start answering more useful questions: Where are users dropping out? Which features keep them coming back? What happened before a conversion? And, increasingly, what should a team investigate next?

That is where artificial intelligence is taking a larger role.

The World AI Awards recognises organisations, individuals, products and technologies contributing to the development and real-world application of artificial intelligence across industries.

For Amplitude, AI is being layered onto an established event-based analytics platform rather than built as a separate novelty. The company’s tools cover product and web analytics, experimentation, Session Replay and newer AI agents designed to investigate behavioural data with less manual analysis.

Every interaction becomes an event

Amplitude’s analytics platform is built around tracking actions users take inside digital products.

Those actions can include clicking a button, completing a purchase, opening a feature or creating an account. Teams can then analyse those events through funnels, retention reports, journeys, cohorts and dashboards.

The practical value is context.

An events company, for example, could analyse the journey from discovering an event to registration or ticket purchase. It could identify where visitors leave the funnel, compare behaviour between audience segments and examine whether particular digital experiences correlate with stronger conversion or repeat engagement.

Amplitude’s product analytics tools currently provide 17 chart types, covering areas such as funnels, retention and user journeys. The company also offers prebuilt views for onboarding, feature engagement and retention, reducing the amount of manual chart building required for common product-health questions.

Session Replay adds the missing ‘why’

Event data can reveal that something happened. It does not always explain why.

Amplitude’s Session Replay addresses that gap by connecting recorded user sessions with the events already captured by the analytics platform.

A team investigating a registration funnel can move from aggregate conversion data into recordings of users who completed a step or dropped out. Replays display activity alongside the event timeline, allowing teams to examine clicks, navigation and the circumstances surrounding a particular action.

The same approach can help diagnose bugs, examine newly launched experiences and investigate unusual behaviour.

That matters for event analytics because a percentage on a dashboard may show where an audience disappeared. Watching the relevant sessions can reveal whether confusing navigation, an error or another point of friction contributed to the problem.

AI starts watching the replays

The volume of behavioural data creates another problem: somebody still has to analyse it.

Amplitude introduced Replay Insights in April 2026 to use AI to analyse Session Replays at scale. Rather than requiring teams to manually watch large numbers of recordings, the system groups issues, estimates how many users are affected and surfaces patterns that deserve attention.

The company pushed that idea further with its AI Agents platform.

Amplitude launched its Global Agent, Specialized Agents and Model Context Protocol capabilities in February 2026. The Global Agent can answer questions about data, create analytical outputs and perform actions across the platform. Specialized Agents work on narrower jobs such as monitoring dashboards, synthesising feedback, analysing Session Replays and examining website conversion opportunities.

The objective is not simply to generate another chart. Amplitude is attempting to automate parts of the investigative work that normally happen around the chart: noticing an anomaly, examining what caused it and directing attention toward something worth acting on.

Event analytics becomes an active system

That shift is what makes Amplitude particularly relevant to the Event Analytics and Insights category.

Traditional analytics often requires someone to know the question before opening the dashboard. AI-assisted analytics changes the sequence. Software can monitor behavioural signals continuously, identify unusual patterns and surface an investigation before a team thinks to ask for it.

For businesses running events, digital communities, ticketing journeys or attendee-facing platforms, the same model could help teams understand how audiences move through online experiences before, during and after an event.

It does not eliminate the need for human judgement. A correlation still needs interpretation, and an AI-generated recommendation still needs scrutiny.

But it changes how quickly teams can get from millions of individual interactions to a manageable set of questions.

Graham Cooke, President of the World AI Awards, said:

“Amplitude’s nomination highlights an important evolution in event analytics: moving from simply recording what users do to helping teams understand why behaviour changes and where attention may be needed.

“Its combination of event-based analytics, Session Replay and AI-assisted investigation demonstrates the opportunity for artificial intelligence to make complex behavioural data more accessible and actionable. We congratulate Amplitude on its 2026 World AI Awards nomination in Event Analytics and Insights and look forward to following how its platform develops.”

Amplitude joins organisations, researchers, entrepreneurs and technology developers being recognised through the 2026 World AI Awards.

The programme recognises organisations, individuals and technologies contributing to the development and application of artificial intelligence across industries.

Amplitude’s nomination in Event Analytics and Insights reflects a broader change taking place in analytics itself. Collecting data is no longer the hardest part for many digital businesses. Finding the handful of signals that deserve attention inside enormous volumes of behavioural information is becoming the bigger challenge.

AI gives analytics platforms another way to attack that problem.

For Amplitude, that means combining the familiar building blocks of events, funnels, journeys and retention with systems that can watch sessions, investigate patterns and bring potentially important findings to the surface.
