    Key Takeaways

    • Abu Dhabi’s Technology Innovation Institute launched the TII quantum cloud service for remote access to superconducting quantum processors.
    • The service features superconducting quantum processing units with qubit numbers ranging from 5 to 25, designed by TII.
    • Currently, access is limited to selected partners who can directly execute workloads and conduct hybrid quantum-classical experiments.
    • The TII quantum cloud service utilizes Qibo, an open-source framework for quantum computing tasks and hybrid integrations.
    • Future expansion plans include enhanced capabilities and potentially wider partner access for the cloud platform.

The TII quantum cloud service has been launched by Abu Dhabi’s Technology Innovation Institute. The platform provides remote access to TII’s in-house superconducting quantum processors. The announcement was reported on February 26, 2026. The service is described as the first quantum computing cloud platform developed in the region.

TII Quantum Cloud Service Provides Access to Superconducting QPUs

The TII quantum cloud service connects users to physical quantum processing units. These processors range from 5 to 25 qubits. The hardware was designed and fabricated internally by TII. The systems are based on superconducting technology.

The reported coherence times are up to ten times longer than earlier prototypes. The infrastructure was previously used inside TII laboratories. It supported algorithm testing and benchmarking activities.

Access is currently limited to selected partners. Users can execute workloads directly on the quantum hardware. Hybrid quantum-classical experiments are supported.

Software and Infrastructure Behind the TII Quantum Cloud Service

The TII quantum cloud service operates using Qibo. Qibo is an open-source quantum computing software framework. It manages circuit design and job execution. It also enables hybrid workflow integration.

The platform handles submission and processing of quantum tasks. APIs and structured workflows are part of the system architecture. The service integrates hardware and software within a unified cloud environment.

Expansion Plans for the TII Quantum Cloud Service

The TII quantum cloud service is part of a broader quantum research initiative. The institute continues work on chip design and system integration. Development includes fabrication and performance improvement of quantum processors.

The cloud platform is expected to expand in capability. Additional features may be introduced over time. Partner access may also broaden in future phases.

The launch establishes operational cloud access to TII’s quantum hardware infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.
