The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented by the Sharjah Training and Development Center (STDC), is set to launch the Oxford and Cambridge Executive Programme in Leadership, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, taking place at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge from 30 August to 5 September 2026.

The programme is part of the Sharjah Chamber’s strategic initiatives for 2026, underscoring its commitment to investing in human capital and developing future-ready executive leadership equipped to navigate rapid advances in AI, the digital economy, strategic decision-making, and digital transformation. It is designed to enhance organisational agility in responding to accelerating technological advances by integrating AI more effectively into leadership frameworks and decision-making processes, while fostering responsible innovation and resilience.

The programme combines expert-led lectures and interactive sessions led by senior academics and specialists from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, together with leading academic and professional institutions in the UK. Delegates will gain practical insights into global best practices and emerging trends in strategic leadership, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, innovation, and executive decision-making.

Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General of the Support Services Sector at SCCI, said the Oxford and Cambridge Executive Programme forms part of the Sharjah Chamber’s strategic vision to invest in talent development and executive leadership.

She explained that the programme aims to build future-ready leaders equipped with the knowledge, capabilities, and tools needed to harness AI and emerging technologies to drive organisational transformation and strengthen competitiveness. This approach, she added, supports the development of a sustainable knowledge-driven economy while advancing the future economic and development visions of Sharjah and the UAE.

Al Shamsi further noted that the partnership with globally renowned academic institutions, including the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, underscores SCCI’s strategic focus on transferring international best practices and cutting-edge knowledge to Sharjah’s business ecosystem, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a leading hub for institutional excellence and innovation. She emphasised that investment in leadership development is a key strategic enabler of economic resilience, competitiveness, and Sharjah’s attractiveness to high-value investments.

For her part, Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of STDC, said that the programme is designed to extend beyond traditional academic learning by offering an interactive platform combining knowledge, practical application, and hands-on experience. She explained that participants will have the chance to engage directly with leading academics and experts, creating opportunities to exchange insights, share ideas, and address contemporary institutional challenges within a dynamic international learning environment.

“At the Sharjah Training and Development Center, we are committed to ensuring that our international programmes provide participants with a comprehensive learning experience that enables them to move beyond knowledge acquisition towards critical analysis, practical application, and translating insights into actionable solutions and practices within their organisations,” Al Ali added.

The programme features specialised academic sessions and an interactive learning methodology combining lectures, case studies, roundtable discussions, practical simulations, and interactive presentations, alongside field visits and knowledge-exchange meetings in Oxford, Cambridge, and Warwick.

Key themes include leadership in the age of artificial intelligence, decision-making in uncertain environments, digital transformation, strategic leadership in the age of digital disruption, AI in financial services, technology transformation governance, and data-driven smart executive decision-making.

These topics are designed to equip participants with actionable insights that can be translated into organisational practices, helping enhance institutional performance, strengthen resilience, and sustain long-term competitiveness.

The Sharjah Chamber called on executive leaders and digital transformation strategy managers across government and private sector institutions to take advantage of this international executive development opportunity. Further information about the programme is available through the official website: www.sharjah.gov.ae.
