    Key Takeaways

    • Huawei and China Mobile won the GLOMO Award at MWC 2026 for their AI network innovation, enhancing telecom operations.
    • Their joint project improves network management by analyzing real-time data across multiple infrastructure layers.
    • The AI system increases automation in fault detection, boosting rates from 60% to 90% in some regions of China.
    • Engineers benefit from automated diagnostics and AI assistants that interpret complex datasets for faster issue resolution.
    • This recognition underscores the significant role of AI in advancing network automation and management in telecom.

Huawei and China Mobile GLOMO Award recognition was announced during the GSMA Global Mobile Awards at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona. The award acknowledged a joint innovation developed by Huawei and China Mobile. The project focuses on using artificial intelligence to improve telecom network operations.

The Global Mobile Awards program recognizes new technologies and solutions in the mobile industry. Winners are selected by independent judges from the telecommunications ecosystem. The awards cover multiple categories including infrastructure, digital services, and network innovation.

Huawei and China Mobile presented their AI-powered network system as part of the event’s technology showcases.

AI Network Innovation by Huawei and China Mobile

The joint solution integrates artificial intelligence with telecom network management systems. The platform analyzes network data collected from multiple infrastructure layers. These layers include wireless access networks, packet networks, and core networks.

AI models process operational data in real time. The system detects faults and abnormal network behavior. It also identifies possible causes of service disruptions.

The platform provides automated diagnostics for network engineers. It can generate technical insights and suggest corrective actions. These capabilities support faster troubleshooting and operational response.

AI assistants are also included in the system. These tools analyze network performance information and help engineers interpret complex datasets.

Deployment of the Huawei and China Mobile AI Network System

Huawei and China Mobile reported that the system has already been used in commercial mobile networks. Early deployments took place in several regions in China. The deployments tested automation capabilities in real operational environments.

The platform increased the level of automated network fault detection. Automation rates in some deployments improved from about 60 percent to approximately 90 percent. Engineers used the system to locate issues more quickly across network infrastructure.

The solution also supports operational tasks such as identifying signaling anomalies and managing service tickets generated by network monitoring systems.

Industry Recognition for Huawei and China Mobile GLOMO Award

The Global Mobile Awards are organized by the GSMA. The awards recognize achievements in mobile technology development. Categories include connectivity, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.

Huawei and China Mobile presented their AI network innovation during MWC 2026, where global telecom companies introduced new technologies for next-generation networks.

The joint project highlights the use of AI to improve network automation and management within large-scale telecom infrastructure.
