The United Arab Emirates has rolled out what is being dubbed as the country’s biggest government Agentic AI program to train up to 80,000 government employees. This massive training program is set to enhance and speed up implementation of agentic artificial intelligence technologies throughout UAE government services.
The news comes as the Cabinet of the UAE met at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He is Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. In addition, as the leadership of the UAE sees it, the launch of the program brings UAE closer to its “Government 4.0” vision.
UAE Plans to Deploy Agentic AI in 50% of Its Government Services
The new digital transformation initiative involves implementation of agentic artificial intelligence in 50% of all services within two years. Additionally, a governance framework that sets out the responsibilities of ministries and participating federal entities in the project has been approved by the Cabinet.
The UAE expects that implementation of AI-based technologies would enhance citizen services. These technologies are predicted to provide benefits to residents, businesses and investors. They are also expected to improve operational efficiency in the Ministries and federal entities.
Sheikh Mohammed noted that UAE’s aim is to become one of the best governments in implementing advanced technologies for government operations.
Agentic AI Program Targets Training of 80,000 Federal Employees
Ministers, deputies, directors general, employees of Ministries, authorities and other federal government entities will participate in this new initiative. The program aims at enhancing practical knowledge and skills of UAE personnel in Agentic AI technologies.
It is noted that this would enable the government to build next-generation digital governance based on Agentic AI technologies.
According to UAE officials, the program would become the biggest workforce program involving Agentic AI technologies in the UAE’s history. Furthermore, it seems likely that the program will involve cooperation between universities and other organizations. It will also include global partners in the tech space.
The initiative also supports the UAE’s efforts to build Agentic AI technologies hub in the country. Another important aspect of this is related to workforce readiness to use the new generation technologies.
UAE Government 4.0 Involves More Than Agentic AI Services
In addition to the training initiative, the Cabinet has approved Agentic AI government service bundles. They are intended to benefit the population and provide enhanced government services to citizens, residents, businesses and investors.
Also, the Cabinet has approved the National Policy for Advancing Digital Health Care Services and Artificial Intelligence in the health sector. The policy aims at developing health care systems and digital infrastructures. It also aims at improving workforce capabilities.
UAE Maintains Leadership in Agentic AI Technologies Implementation
Since recently, the UAE has been known as one of the leaders in adopting artificial intelligence technologies for various purposes. In particular, the country implements numerous digital transformation initiatives in this direction.
In particular, this program would further contribute to building Government 4.0 based on Agentic AI technologies.
The launch of this ambitious program brings UAE to the forefront among world countries as far as implementation of Agentic AI technologies goes.
