    Key Takeaways

    • Microsoft is developing a new enterprise subscription called the Microsoft AI software bundle for Microsoft 365 customers, potentially costing up to $99 per user per month.
    • This bundle aims to integrate productivity software, security tools, and AI features, targeting enterprise organizations.
    • The proposed plan, Microsoft 365 E7, would offer enhanced AI capabilities beyond existing tiers like E3 and E5, which currently cost $36 and $57 per user monthly, respectively.
    • Expected AI features include Microsoft Copilot for assistance in various tasks and Agent 365 for managing AI agents in enterprise environments.
    • Microsoft’s strategy may boost adoption of AI services by consolidating multiple tools into one package, as only 3.3% of Microsoft 365 users currently pay for Copilot.

The Microsoft AI software bundle is reportedly being developed as a new enterprise subscription for Microsoft 365 customers. The bundle may cost up to $99 per user per month. It would combine productivity software, security tools, and artificial intelligence features into one package.

The proposed plan is reportedly called Microsoft 365 E7. The offering is aimed at enterprise organizations that want integrated AI tools across workplace software.

Microsoft has not officially confirmed the launch of the plan. Reports say the company is still evaluating the product and pricing structure.

Microsoft AI Software Bundle and Microsoft 365 Plans

Microsoft currently offers multiple enterprise subscription tiers. The two main plans are Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5.

E3 includes standard productivity applications. These applications include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.

E5 adds advanced capabilities. These features include security, compliance tools, and analytics functions.

The Microsoft AI software bundle would introduce a new tier above these existing plans. It would focus on integrating artificial intelligence features into everyday business workflows.

Current pricing shows E3 costs about $36 per user monthly. E5 costs around $57 per user monthly.

AI Features Included in the Microsoft AI Software Bundle

The proposed bundle is expected to include Microsoft Copilot. Copilot is the company’s generative AI assistant integrated into Microsoft 365 apps.

Copilot can assist users with writing, data analysis, and document generation. It operates inside tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The bundle may also include Agent 365. Agent 365 is a system designed to manage AI agents across enterprise software environments.

These AI agents can interact with business applications and organizational data. The system allows companies to monitor and control automated AI tasks.

Microsoft Strategy Behind the AI Bundle

Microsoft has expanded AI capabilities across its software ecosystem since introducing Microsoft 365 Copilot in 2023.

However, adoption of paid AI services remains limited. Reports estimate that around 3.3% of Microsoft 365 and Office 365 users currently pay for Copilot.

The Microsoft AI software bundle could increase enterprise adoption by packaging multiple AI tools within a single subscription plan.
