    KAYAK has recently launched its new Ask AI tool that makes travel planning easier for people by using artificial intelligence technology. The tool was released amid increased global interest in traveling due to the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.

    How Does Ask AI Work?

    Using this tool, customers can plan their travels using conversational artificial intelligence technology, without switching tabs to search and compare information about various flights, hotels, and rental cars.

    Chat With an Artificial Intelligence Assistant While Booking Your Travel Arrangements

    The Ask AI tool developed by KAYAK allows users to start planning a travel trip with one question and then refine their search in conversation mode.

    In comparison with traditional travel booking websites, where users have to apply numerous filters and then compare the results obtained, with Ask AI it is enough to enter information naturally using questions, while updated information appears below the conversation.

    Thus, the travelers can:

    • search for hotels close to stadiums of the 2026 World Cup host cities;
    • compare flight tickets for different destination points;
    • create multi-city travel itineraries in a single chat session.

    These capabilities allow travelers to avoid repeating the steps when searching for relevant offers and managing multiple browser tabs.

    Live Results Update and Instant Booking Option

    One of the key features that distinguish this new travel planning tool created by KAYAK from other AI technologies is providing instant updates on flight and hotel prices in real-time from numerous travel companies.

    Users can continuously refine their queries until obtaining up-to-date and most relevant offers. This means that travelers do not need to look through outdated offers provided by third-party services.

    Conversational AI and Search Combined

    While artificial intelligence is used for planning travel by many travelers, KAYAK decided to combine this innovative technology with a traditional travel search website.

    According to the chief product officer of KAYAK Matthias Keller:

    “Ask AI is the next evolution, blending together two of the most important tools we provide to travelers.”

    This approach allows combining the best aspects of traditional search with modern technology solutions in one platform.

    AI for Handling Growing Travel Complexity

    The launch of this travel planning tool occurred in light of the growing travel demand in relation to multi-country events, such as the upcoming World Cup tournament.

    According to data from KAYAK travel insights, the number of flights booked for World Cup host cities has risen by 23%.

    Travelers can use Ask AI for making complicated travel arrangements, while this new tool will be able to take into account changes in traveler needs and preferences.

    World Cup 2026 Travel Trends Dashboard

    As a part of Ask AI, KAYAK is going to release a dashboard that tracks:

    • traveling trends, including demand and growing interest in host cities;
    • changes in prices for various flights and hotels;
    • new popular destinations.

    All these data will help travelers make informed decisions regarding choosing travel plans during the World Cup tournament.

    Future Plans

    KAYAK plans to continue improving this new travel planning tool based on artificial intelligence. For more updates on AI innovations, you can follow #breakingainews.
