CultureIQ has been nominated for the 2026 World AI Awards in the Culture Building category, recognising its work in helping organisations measure, understand and improve workplace culture through employee feedback, research and data-driven insights.
The nomination draws attention to a challenge that businesses often struggle to measure. Workplace culture influences how employees communicate, collaborate and respond to change, yet identifying problems before they affect performance is rarely straightforward.
The World AI Awards recognises organisations, individuals, products and technologies contributing to the development and real-world application of artificial intelligence across industries.
CultureIQ developed a research-backed approach to culture measurement, giving business leaders tools to understand employee experiences and identify gaps between an organisation’s intended values and everyday workplace behaviour.
Turning workplace culture into measurable insights
Company culture can be difficult to evaluate through traditional performance metrics.
Employee surveys might reveal dissatisfaction, but understanding why people feel disconnected from leadership or why teams struggle to collaborate requires more detailed analysis.
CultureIQ addressed this problem through its Culture Framework, a research-backed methodology designed to identify organisational strengths, weaknesses and areas where workplace culture may not align with business strategy.
The framework drew on decades of organisational culture research and benchmarking information.
Through employee surveys, reporting tools and culture assessments, organisations could gather feedback and examine patterns across their workforce.
For HR leaders, the practical value lies in moving beyond broad engagement scores. Instead of simply knowing that employees are unhappy, organisations can investigate the workplace conditions contributing to those responses.
CultureIQ’s technology reaches businesses across industries
CultureIQ’s approach attracted organisations operating in technology, retail and financial services across the United States and Europe.
Its tools helped employers collect employee perspectives and assess whether their workplace practices supported broader organisational objectives.
A significant development came in July 2021, when employee listening and people analytics company Perceptyx acquired CultureIQ.
The acquisition brought CultureIQ’s culture assessment expertise into a broader employee listening technology business.
At the time, Perceptyx said CultureIQ’s research-backed framework would strengthen its ability to help organisations understand cultural gaps and connect workplace insights with employee engagement and performance.
The acquisition also gave CultureIQ customers opportunities to extend their existing culture measurement programmes through Perceptyx’s wider platform.
AI expands the possibilities for employee listening
CultureIQ’s original strength was culture measurement rather than a publicly documented standalone artificial intelligence model.
Its relevance to AI-enabled culture building becomes clearer through the broader development of employee listening technology following its acquisition.
In February 2022, Perceptyx acquired Cultivate, an AI-powered leadership coaching platform designed to analyse workplace communication patterns and provide personalised recommendations to managers.
Cultivate’s technology operated on an opt-in basis, using information from leaders’ digital communication channels to generate coaching insights.
Combined with employee surveys and feedback systems, AI-supported coaching offers another way for organisations to understand how leadership behaviour affects workplace experiences.
These capabilities belong to the broader Perceptyx portfolio. Publicly available information does not establish that CultureIQ itself developed Cultivate’s AI technology or independently launched a new generative AI product.
Why culture building matters in the age of AI
Artificial intelligence is changing how organisations analyse workforce information, but measuring culture remains only part of the challenge.
A company might discover communication problems through employee feedback. Fixing those problems still requires managers to respond, employees to participate and leadership teams to make meaningful changes.
CultureIQ’s contribution lies in its structured approach to understanding organisational behaviour and connecting employee perspectives with business priorities.
Its acquisition by Perceptyx also illustrates how culture assessment has become part of a wider market for employee listening, people analytics and AI-assisted leadership development.
The opportunity is not to automate workplace culture itself. It is to give organisations better information about what employees experience and where improvements may be needed.
Graham Cooke, President of the World AI Awards, said:
“CultureIQ’s nomination in Culture Building highlights an important opportunity for artificial intelligence and workplace analytics: helping organisations better understand their employees and build cultures where people can communicate, collaborate and contribute more effectively.
“From research-backed culture assessments and employee feedback to the broader possibilities of AI-supported workforce insights, CultureIQ’s work demonstrates the value of turning workplace experiences into information that leaders can act upon. We congratulate CultureIQ on its 2026 World AI Awards nomination and look forward to following how these technologies continue to develop.”
CultureIQ joins organisations, researchers, entrepreneurs and technology developers being recognised through the 2026 World AI Awards.
The programme celebrates contributions to artificial intelligence across industries, including enterprise technology, healthcare, education, financial services and workforce management.
CultureIQ’s nomination in Culture Building reflects the growing importance of understanding the human side of organisational performance as businesses adopt more sophisticated analytical technologies.
AI may help organisations recognise patterns and interpret information, but creating a healthy workplace still depends on human decisions, trust and meaningful action.
