From bias mitigation and enhanced sales to compliance and personalised video, here are six AI startups joining us at Web Summit this November.

    Tromero

Tromero was founded in July 2022 by PhD researchers Sophia Kalanovska and Charles Higgins. The company’s mission is to democratise access to AI by reducing the cost of accelerated computing for businesses and individuals. This is achieved through an approach called ‘proof of useful work’, which combines blockchain security mechanisms with AI model training.

The AI startup secured a £1.5 million seed round led by BlueYard Capital in July 2023 and released a beta version of its marketplace in December 2023, followed by a global launch in March 2024.

    VidLab7

Munich-based VidLab7 specialises in synthetic media and personalised video creation. The startup, co-founded by Fabian Beringer, recently secured US$3.85 million in seed funding.

The startup’s platform allows users to create customised videos at scale, by recording a single video and personalising it for thousands of recipients. It’s aimed at sales, marketing, customer success, and HR. Features of the platform include customisable avatars, voice options, and an AI recommendation engine, as well as integration with business tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, and Zapier.

    Advai

Advai is a London-based AI startup founded in 2020 that specialises in developing fair and responsible AI systems. The company’s mission is to identify and address vulnerabilities and limitations in AI and machine learning technologies to help businesses deploy AI with confidence.

Led by CEO and former diplomat David Sully, and CTO Chris Jefferson – an IT professional with expertise in AI and machine learning – Advai offers products designed to assess, stress-test, and monitor AI systems. The company’s flagship offerings include Advai Advance for AI readiness assessment, Advai Versus for automated stress-testing and evaluation, and Advai Insight for risk and compliance monitoring.

    Honeysales

Honeysales is a German AI startup founded by CEO Daniel Brusch and COO and CFO Stefan Meyer. The company gained recognition in 2024 when it was selected as part of the German Accelerator’s US Market Access Programme, earning a spot in the cohort that visited Silicon Valley in July.

Honeysales’ unique value proposition is to “replicate your best salespeople with AI and real-time data”. Its platform is designed to simplify B2B sales processes by using key market intelligence, CRM data, and behavioural patterns from sellers and buyers. The plug-and-play platform asks you to connect your CRM and add your sales pitch, and it does the rest.

    Mindset AI

Founded in 2020, Mindset AI is a London-based startup that allows companies to build custom AI agents without coding, enabling teams to streamline information retrieval, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance collaboration.

Its platform is designed to integrate with existing workplace apps and knowledge bases, providing a centralised interface for employees to tap into AI-assisted tasks. As of 2024, more than 1,900 fast-growing companies use Mindset AI’s agents to boost productivity and streamline their ops.

    Inspeq AI

Inspeq AI is an Irish startup founded by CEO Apoorva Kumar and CTO Ramanujam MV, who, between them have leadership experience at Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and LinkedIn. Launched after extensive customer validation at the Founders accelerator in Dogpatch Labs, Dublin, the startup is developing safer and more reliable AI solutions, with a focus on the financial services sector.

Inspeq AI’s platform specialises in AI reliability and trustworthiness, and addresses key areas such as task proficiency, linguistic excellence, safety and bias mitigation, and security. The company has developed more than 50 metrics and guardrails using advanced NLP and AI/ML models to evaluate and optimise AI capabilities.
