    Key Takeaways

    • The Radisson ChatGPT app allows users to access live hotel inventory and rates for over 1,000 Radisson properties, enhancing the booking experience.
    • This app marks a significant shift towards agentic commerce, where AI assistants facilitate travel planning and bookings instead of traditional searches.
    • Accenture’s partnership with Radisson aims to improve hotel discovery and streamline the booking process via AI technology.
    • The app currently offers hotel discovery and comparison, with future features planned for personalization and in-chat booking management.
    • Radisson’s digital overhaul positions it at the forefront of AI-driven travel solutions, making hotel options more accessible to travelers.

Ask ChatGPT to find you “a family-friendly hotel in Amsterdam with a pool” and, until recently, you’d get a generic list scraped from wherever the model last read about Amsterdam. Now, if you’re looking for a Radisson, you can get something better. You get real rooms, real prices, and real availability. Radisson Hotel Group has partnered with Accenture to launch a dedicated hotel discovery app inside ChatGPT. This partnership is one of the clearer signs yet that hotel brands are done waiting to see how this AI-search thing plays out. The new Radisson ChatGPT app is a great example of this shift.

What the Radisson ChatGPT App Actually Does

Type @RadissonHotels at the start of a ChatGPT conversation and you’re no longer talking to a general-purpose chatbot guessing at hotel options. Now, you’re talking to something that can pull live inventory and rates from more than 1,000 Radisson properties across over 100 countries. For example, ask it to plan a weekend in Paris near the Eiffel Tower with a gym and spa. It responds with actual matching hotels, location context, amenity details, and an interactive map — not a vague paragraph of suggestions. Once you’ve found something you like, the app hands you off to Radisson’s own website to finish the booking. This is search and comparison done in conversation. The transaction still happens on Radisson’s turf. Notably, all these features illustrate the potential of the Radisson ChatGPT app in real hotel bookings.

Why Radisson Is Betting on Agentic Commerce

There’s a name for what Radisson is chasing here: agentic commerce. It’s the idea that booking a trip no longer starts with a Google search and a scroll through ten browser tabs — it starts with a question typed into an AI assistant. The AI then narrows things down, compares options, and nudges the traveler toward a decision. Radisson says it’s already watching this play out in its own traffic data. In fact, organic and direct web visits — the channels that used to drive most bookings — are losing ground to entry points like ChatGPT. If that’s where travelers are starting their search, a hotel brand that isn’t visible there simply isn’t in the conversation. As a result, Radisson ChatGPT app visibility is becoming essential for the brand’s online strategy.

    The Numbers Behind the Shift

The data backs up the instinct. Accenture’s Consumer Pulse Research found that 87% of travelers are open to letting an AI-powered travel agent help them find the best option. In addition, 71% expect AI to influence at least half of what they spend on hotels or flights over the next year. That’s not a niche behavior anymore — that’s most travelers, most of the time. For a hotel group with over 1,000 properties competing for attention, sitting outside that shift isn’t really an option.

    How Accenture Built It

The build started with an MCP accelerator inside Accenture’s AI Merchant Center, a platform designed to get a brand’s content, inventory, rates, and booking signals into shape for AI-led discovery. Essentially, it ensures ChatGPT can actually understand and trust what Radisson is telling it. From there, Accenture worked with Radisson on the app itself: how it looks, how it responds, how it behaves across devices. The app connects straight into Radisson’s existing systems. Therefore, the hotel details a traveler sees are pulled live rather than cached or approximate.

Gianni Di Fede, Radisson Hotel Group’s chief commercial officer, framed the move as a matter of staying ahead rather than catching up: “AI is radically transforming how people search for and book hotel stays, and we are committed to being at the forefront of this shift. With Accenture, we are reimagining hotel discovery for the next generation of travelers — meeting guests in the planning moment with a branded experience that makes it easier to find, compare, and book Radisson Hotels properties.” Importantly, the Radisson ChatGPT app was a crucial part of this reimagining process.

Ndidi Oteh, CEO of Accenture Song, put it in blunter terms: “Agentic commerce is fundamentally changing how people discover and choose brands. As journeys become more conversational and intent-driven, companies have to rethink how they show up — not just to be found, but to be chosen, and to deliver value in that moment.”

    What’s Next for the App

This version is really just the opening move. Radisson and Accenture plan to build in deeper personalization, loyalty recognition, in-chat booking, reservation management, trip modification, and AI concierge features down the line. In other words, the current app handles discovery and comparison; the roadmap points toward handling the entire trip. It could include booking, managing, and adjusting — without ever leaving the chat window.

The Bigger Play: Radisson’s Digital Overhaul

This app didn’t appear out of nowhere. It sits on top of a broader digital transformation Accenture has been running with Radisson, one that’s already unified the group’s brands onto a single global platform. In addition, it has enabled more personalized marketing across its 1,000-plus hotels. Emily Weiss, Accenture’s senior managing director and global travel lead, described the underlying goal: “Travelers want to compare options quickly, narrow down choices and book with confidence, often in a single journey. That puts pressure on brands to show up with accurate, up-to-date, and easy-to-navigate information at every step. With Radisson Hotel Group, the focus was on making hotel content more accessible, so travelers can find what they need, explore options, and move to booking more seamlessly.”

The project also extends Accenture’s existing partnership with OpenAI. Accenture holds Elite Partner status with OpenAI and was recently named its AI Transformation Partner of the Year, so the Radisson app is as much a showcase for Accenture’s AI consulting work as it is a new booking channel for Radisson. Either way, it’s a preview of where hotel search is headed: fewer browser tabs, more conversations. Notably, the Radisson ChatGPT app could become a benchmark for future AI-powered travel solutions.
