Founded in 2020, Factiverse has developed business-to-business tools that provide live fact-checking for text, video, and audio, aiming to combat the surge of misinformation in key areas such as politics, public health, and climate change.
The startup, which gained recognition at TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield 200 by winning the best pitch in the Security, Privacy, and Social Networking category, offers its tools to businesses to save research time and reduce reputational and legal risks. Factiverse’s AI-driven solutions promise to identify false claims and provide real-time verification, enabling organizations to navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Led by CEO Maria Amelie, Factiverse has raised $1.45 million in pre-seed funding and already counts media organizations and financial institutions, including one of Norway’s largest banks, among its partners. The company represents a vital effort to address disinformation in the era of generative AI.
