Abu Dhabi is preparing for a major gathering of the global artificial intelligence industry. AI Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 heads to the ADNEC Centre on October 6–7.

Organizers describe the sold-out event as the world’s largest AI-first Expo and Summit. It will bring together AI companies, startups, investors, government entities, researchers and technology executives from more than 60 countries. Moreover, more than 400 AI infrastructure builders, model developers, unicorns and startups are expected to participate. Alongside them, over 200 investors managing a combined $91 billion in assets will attend.

The event lands at an interesting moment for Abu Dhabi. The emirate isn’t simply trying to attract AI companies. Instead, it is putting substantial resources into compute infrastructure, sovereign AI research and government deployment. These areas will sit at the heart of the two-day programme.

AI Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 Brings Global AI Leaders Together

More than 180 speakers are expected across the summit and its sector-focused conferences. Two names stand out: Mistral AI co-founder and CEO Arthur Mensch and Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert. Organizers say the pair will appear together in the UAE for the first time. Their discussions will cover sovereign AI, industrial intelligence and the changing relationships between governments and technology providers.

The exhibitor floor will stretch well beyond generative AI models. AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Cerebras, Cloudflare, Dell, HPE, Intel, Microsoft, NetApp, Nokia, Nutanix, Oracle, Red Hat, Seagate and Snowflake are among the international companies listed by organizers. Their technologies span chips, cloud platforms, storage, networking and enterprise software. This includes the less glamorous infrastructure that increasingly determines how far AI can actually scale.

Abu Dhabi’s AI-Native Government Strategy Takes Center Stage

Government deployment will be one of the more closely watched parts of the event. More than 50 UAE government entities are expected to participate. The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) will serve as Host Partner.

DGE is leading Abu Dhabi’s plan to become what it describes as the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027. According to the event announcement, the initiative connects more than 40 government entities within an AI-driven ecosystem. Meanwhile, more than 100 AI use cases are already operating across public services. The wider transformation is backed by an investment programme valued at roughly $3.54 billion.

That gives the conference a slightly different character from an ordinary technology exhibition. Government agencies aren’t only discussing future AI projects. Abu Dhabi wants to show what happens when AI moves into everyday public-sector workflows at scale.

Sovereign AI Moves Beyond Models

Sovereign AI is also expected to run through much of the conversation in Abu Dhabi. Countries increasingly want greater control over the models, data, computing infrastructure and energy systems behind their AI capabilities. They want this rather than depending entirely on external providers.

The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) offers a local example. Its Falcon family has become part of the UAE’s sovereign AI push. Meanwhile, Falcon-H1 Arabic focuses specifically on Arabic-language performance. At AI Everything Abu Dhabi, TII plans to present 23 demonstrations from nine research centres. These will cover fields including energy, advanced materials, maritime infrastructure, aerospace and autonomous systems.

One project, GeoAI, uses machine learning to model the subsurface geology of the northern UAE. The aim is practical: support mineral exploration. It is the kind of application that shows how Abu Dhabi’s AI strategy is spreading beyond chatbots and general-purpose assistants.

AI Infrastructure Becomes Part of the Main Conversation

AI’s infrastructure problem is getting harder to ignore. Bigger workloads require more compute, more data-centre capacity and considerably more power. The conference programme reflects that shift, with dedicated discussions around intelligent infrastructure, energy, GPU services, physical AI and emerging data-centre architectures.

G42 is expected to present its broader vision around what it calls an “Intelligence Grid.” This brings compute, platforms, AI agents and governance into a connected stack. Solutions+, a Mubadala company and Global Partner of the event, will focus on another part of the same problem. Specifically, it will address getting AI out of demonstrations and into operational business systems.

The distinction matters. Companies have spent heavily experimenting with AI. Now executives increasingly want evidence that those systems can improve productivity, reduce friction or create measurable economic value.

Mistral AI Brings the AI Control Debate to Abu Dhabi

Mistral AI’s presence adds another layer to the sovereign AI discussion. The French company has built much of its identity around giving organizations more choice over how and where models are deployed.

At the Abu Dhabi event, Mistral executives are expected to address a question that is becoming increasingly important as AI systems gain autonomy. Who actually controls the AI?

That conversation reaches beyond model ownership. Enterprises and governments are also weighing where data sits and which infrastructure processes it. Additionally, they are considering how AI agents receive permissions and how much dependence they are willing to place on outside platforms.

ElevenLabs Showcases the Next Wave of Conversational AI

Voice AI will have its place too. ElevenLabs is expected to demonstrate ElevenAgents, its platform for building conversational AI experiences into products and services. Alongside that, ElevenCreative combines its audio technology with image and video generation capabilities.

It points to another change happening across generative AI. Text is no longer the whole interface. Voice, images, video and autonomous agents are increasingly being bundled together. As a result, AI systems are being designed to interact rather than simply answer prompts.

From AI Experiments to AI Deployment

The programme stretches across public services, finance, healthcare, energy, education and enterprise technology. Workshops and certified training sessions will also cover areas such as multi-agent workflows, rapid prototyping, model development and newer AI tools.

This may be the bigger story behind AI Everything Abu Dhabi 2026. The AI industry has spent several years showing what models can do. Governments and businesses are now wrestling with the tougher part. They must decide what should actually be deployed, how it should be governed and whether the economics make sense.

Abu Dhabi wants to be one of the places where those decisions happen.

Abu Dhabi Strengthens Its Position in the Global AI Race

AI Everything Abu Dhabi arrives as the UAE continues investing heavily in AI infrastructure, research and public-sector adoption. The event itself won’t determine Abu Dhabi’s position in the global AI hierarchy. However, it provides a concentrated look at the strategy the emirate is pursuing. This strategy combines sovereign computing capacity, government adoption, research institutions, international technology companies and investment capital in one ecosystem.

And this year’s agenda is noticeably less obsessed with AI spectacle.

The harder questions — infrastructure, energy, control, governance and returns — are moving closer to the center of the conversation. That may tell us more about where the AI industry is heading than another flashy model demo.

AI Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 will take place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi on October 6–7, 2026. ADNEC independently lists the event for those dates, with the exhibition running from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on October 6. On October 7, it will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
