Zeal Connect has launched Zeal CRM, an AI-first customer relationship management platform built specifically for travel companies. This pushes artificial intelligence deeper into a part of the industry that still relies heavily on manual workflows.

The new platform is designed to follow a booking from the first customer enquiry through quotation, confirmation and post-sale support. It covers flights, hotels, packages, corporate travel and group bookings. As a result, it gives agencies and travel operators a single system for handling increasingly complicated customer journeys.

Zeal CRM is being showcased during Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai, where Zeal Connect is presenting the CRM alongside its existing Zeal Desk platform. The combination points to a broader idea. AI in travel is moving beyond recommendation engines and chatbots and into the messy operational work happening behind every booking.

Zeal CRM Brings AI Into the Travel Sales Workflow

Travel companies have spent years digitizing booking and customer-facing sales. Behind the screen, though, many workflows are still surprisingly manual. Agents move itinerary information between systems. They also collect prices from suppliers, update quotes whenever a customer changes plans and then hand confirmed bookings to another team for servicing.

Zeal CRM is designed to reduce that fragmentation. The system uses AI to structure incoming enquiries and keep track of different quote versions. It also pulls supplier pricing into the options being prepared by travel agents. That becomes particularly useful when a straightforward enquiry turns into several itinerary revisions, hotel changes or alternative flight combinations.

It is a different problem from simply generating an email response. Travel bookings contain dates, supplier rules, passenger details, fares and deadlines that can change the importance of a request almost instantly. Zeal Connect’s pitch is that software built around those travel-specific details can automate more of the actual workflow. Instead of treating every booking like a generic sales opportunity, this software customizes the process.

One Booking Record From Enquiry to Resolution

A central idea behind Zeal CRM is continuity. Once a customer accepts an offer, information from the sales stage can move into Zeal Desk. There, teams handle amendments, cancellations, supplier communication and escalations using the same booking context.

That matters because one of the frustrating gaps in travel operations appears after the sale. The person who originally created an itinerary may have all the context. Meanwhile, the support agent dealing with a later change often has to reconstruct it from emails and disconnected records.

Zeal Connect describes its approach as keeping the booking at the centre of the system. This allows them to avoid forcing travel operations into software originally designed around generic contacts, deals and support tickets.

The distinction sounds small until a traveller is departing tomorrow. In travel, a request tied to a near-term departure or check-in can be more urgent than an older ticket sitting higher in a conventional queue.

Zeal Desk Extends AI Into Post-Booking Operations

The wider Zeal platform also includes Zeal Desk, an AI-powered help desk built around live travel booking data.

According to Zeal Connect, Zeal Desk uses specialized AI agents to classify incoming requests and prioritize them using travel context. In addition, they perform actions across booking systems and audit responses before they reach customers. The platform can work across email, WhatsApp and chat while accessing information such as PNRs, hotel confirmation numbers, supplier history and booking deadlines.

That makes the broader strategy clearer. Zeal CRM handles the earlier part of the journey, while Zeal Desk focuses on what happens after a booking exists.

The company is effectively trying to build an AI operations layer across both sides.

Travel-Native AI Becomes the Bigger Bet

Generic enterprise AI software can already summarize messages, draft responses and organize customer data. However, travel presents a harder challenge because the information behind those conversations is constantly tied to live inventory, suppliers, cancellation rules and departure dates.

Zeal Connect argues that this is where travel-specific AI becomes more useful.

Its existing systems are built around concepts such as PNRs, hotel confirmation numbers and check-in timelines rather than treating those details as extra database fields. The company says its AI workflows can classify requests and act across connected systems. They also keep humans involved when approval is required.

That approach also reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI. The goal is increasingly not just to answer a question but to complete a sequence of work. For example, the system can retrieve data, interpret the situation, trigger an action and verify what happened.

Travel happens to be a brutal place to test that idea. One wrong date can matter.

Zeal Connect Targets Growing Travel Operations Without Matching Headcount Growth

The business case behind the platform is fairly straightforward: travel companies want to process more bookings. They need to do this without expanding operations teams at exactly the same rate.

Classic Holidays Managing Director Rishabh Doshi said his company was handling roughly 40% more volume with the same team, while also responding to customers faster. The comment was included in Zeal Connect’s launch announcement and represents the company’s own customer example. However, it is not an independently audited performance benchmark.

Zeal Connect also says its technology is already being used by travel companies across India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Europe and Southeast Asia. The clients include EaseMyTrip, Go Global Travel, Akbar Travels and other operators.

For travel businesses, that is ultimately where AI adoption will be tested. Generating clever responses is useful. Reducing the operational cost of processing thousands of real bookings is a much tougher benchmark.

Arabian Travel Market Gives Zeal CRM Its Dubai Debut

Zeal Connect is showcasing the platform at Arabian Travel Market 2026, running from September 14 to 17 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The company is exhibiting at Stand TT2008 in the Travel Tech zone and is demonstrating its travel operations products on live booking workflows. Zeal Connect has also been promoting Zeal Desk and its automated hotel reconfirmation technology during the event.

Dubai is a fitting launch setting. Arabian Travel Market increasingly brings airlines, hotels, tourism businesses and travel technology companies into the same room. Moreover, AI is steadily becoming less of a standalone technology topic and more of an operating layer across those businesses.

Zeal CRM fits directly into that transition.

AI Is Moving Deeper Into the Travel Back Office

For years, consumer-facing AI received most of the attention in travel. Recommendation tools could suggest destinations. Chatbots answered common questions. Generative AI could build itineraries in seconds.

The back office is now becoming more interesting.

Platforms such as Zeal CRM suggest that the next stage of AI adoption may sit inside quotation workflows, supplier coordination, booking management and customer support. These are areas where employees still spend large amounts of time moving information between systems.

That does not mean every process suddenly becomes autonomous. Travel bookings involve money, contractual rules and time-sensitive changes, so human oversight will remain important.

    Still, the direction is visible.

AI is beginning to move from helping travellers decide where to go to helping travel companies manage everything that happens after someone decides to go there.
