The mission of Be My Sense Corp is to foster inclusive communication for deaf individuals in professional, social, and educational environments. “Every day, we aim to improve by just 1% toward our goal of making communication more inclusive for the deaf community,” said El Abed.
At the core of Be My Sense is an AI-powered mobile application that serves as a two-way communication tool:
- Sign-to-Voice/Text: Deaf individuals can use hand gestures, which the application detects through a phone’s camera, and converts into real-time voice or text.
- Voice-to-Sign: Users who do not know sign language can record their voice, and a 3D avatar within the app will translate the speech into sign language on a real-time basis.
Beyond the mobile application, Be My Sense is developing API integrations to embed their technology into websites, televisions, and even in-flight entertainment systems to ensure universal accessibility.
