Adobe and LinkedIn have announced a new global AI training initiative. In fact, this is part of the broader Adobe LinkedIn AI skills initiative, which aims to help marketing professionals develop the skills needed in an increasingly AI-driven workplace.

AI Essentials for Marketers supports professionals across digital marketing, content creation, creative production, social media, communications, data, and analytics. In addition, it helps marketers at all career stages. The initiative uses short, practical learning formats that fit into busy work schedules.

Why Adobe and LinkedIn Are Investing in AI Skills

AI is changing how marketing teams build campaigns, write content, find target audiences, and use data. Moreover, with AI tools becoming more common in organizations, marketers are increasingly called upon to know how these technologies can increase productivity, creativity, and customer engagement.

According to LinkedIn Economic Graph data quoted in the announcement, AI skills have become the top focus area for marketing professionals. The same data shows that marketing job postings requiring AI literacy skills have more than doubled year over year. In fact, they are up by 113%.

This shift mirrors a broader industry shift: AI literacy is no longer the preserve of the technical specialists. Marketers, creatives and communications professionals are now expected to understand how AI can be applied directly to their roles. The Adobe LinkedIn AI skills initiative is a response to this growing need.

What AI Essentials for Marketers Will Offer

Adobe’s LinkedIn AI skills program will provide free courses through LinkedIn Learning. Alongside, more hands-on experiences, customer examples and real-world use cases will be provided through Adobe Experience League. As part of the Adobe LinkedIn AI skills initiative, these resources are tailored to meet the demands of the present and future workforce.

The program offers four role-based learning paths based on core marketing functions:

    Digital marketing
    Content and creative
    Social and communications
    Data and analytics

The courses are expected to be available in 47 languages, ensuring global access to the program.

Training will cover practical AI uses like AI-powered content planning, content creation, audience targeting, campaign development, data analysis, and use of AI in agentic workflows.

Free AI Training With LinkedIn Certificates

A major benefit of the program is that the courses will be available for free on LinkedIn Learning. Those who complete the training will receive certificates of completion that they can add to their LinkedIn profiles.

This means the program is useful not just for learning new AI skills. It is also useful for demonstrating to employers and professional networks that a marketer is actively developing AI capabilities.

Adobe and LinkedIn also said they plan to update the content regularly. This will help marketers keep pace with the fast-changing AI landscape.

Adobe and LinkedIn Target the Future of Marketing Work

Adobe brings deep experience in creative tools, marketing platforms, customer experience technology, and AI-powered applications. Furthermore, the company said that 99% of Fortune 100 companies use AI in an Adobe app. This shows how widely AI is already being embedded into enterprise workflows, especially under the Adobe LinkedIn AI skills initiative.

LinkedIn, meanwhile, contributes labor market insights from its Economic Graph, which tracks skills, jobs, companies, and professional trends across its global network. Additionally, LinkedIn Learning offers thousands of courses, including a large and growing catalog focused on AI.

The companies are co-launching AI Essentials for Marketers, a pragmatic bridge from the fast-changing world of AI technology to the way marketing teams work every day.

    Why It Matters

The launch of AI Essentials for Marketers signals a wider shift in the marketing world. Also, the Adobe LinkedIn AI skills initiative marks an important milestone in making AI literacy accessible to all marketing professionals. AI is no longer a nice-to-have edge; it’s an essential workplace skill.

Soon, the ability to leverage AI effectively may affect hiring, promotion, productivity, and campaign performance for marketers. Meanwhile, training programs like this could help professionals adapt more quickly as companies continue to integrate AI into content production, data analysis, personalization, and customer engagement.

The initiative could be a valuable resource for marketers who want to remain competitive in the AI era. This is especially true as Adobe and LinkedIn offer free role-based AI training on a global level.

    Key Takeaway

The AI Essentials for Marketers initiative, a collaboration between Adobe and LinkedIn, provides marketing professionals with a free avenue to build practical AI skills, obtain certificates, and get ready for the future of AI-driven marketing. With AI literacy becoming increasingly crucial across the industry, this program could help marketers of all levels adapt to the evolving demands of the workplace.
