Faria Education Group is pushing deeper into artificial intelligence with a new acquisition aimed directly at school data.

The education technology company has acquired Edu Intelligence, an AI-native analytics platform built for schools. The deal adds a new data and analytics layer to Faria’s growing product ecosystem.

The attraction is fairly easy to see. Schools already collect huge amounts of information, but that data often sits in separate systems. Edu Intelligence is designed to make those records easier to question and understand.

School leaders can ask questions in plain English. The platform then returns evidence-based answers without requiring complex dashboards or specialist data skills.

Faria Adds an AI-Native Analytics Platform

Edu Intelligence was built specifically around school data. It brings information from areas such as attendance, assessment, behaviour, and wellbeing into one analytics environment. School leaders can then question that information using ordinary language. They do not need to configure complex dashboards first. The idea is to make school data useful without turning every administrator into a data analyst.

School Leaders Can Ask Questions in Plain English

The natural-language interface is one of the more practical parts of the deal. A school leader can ask a direct question instead of digging through spreadsheets or reports. Edu Intelligence then analyzes the available information and provides an evidence-backed response. That could shorten the gap between spotting a problem and acting on it. It also makes analytics more accessible to staff without technical backgrounds.

Faria Plans to Bring AI Analytics Across Its Product Suite

The acquisition is bigger than adding one standalone tool. Faria expects Edu Intelligence to strengthen products across its existing portfolio. Those include ManageBac+, OpenApply, SchoolsBuddy, Atlas, and Vectare. Bringing analytics into those platforms could create a more connected view of school operations. Faria currently serves more than 10,000 schools and over four million students in 155 countries.

Scattered School Data Is the Problem Faria Wants to Fix

Schools produce data almost everywhere. Attendance systems collect one set of records. Assessment platforms hold another. Behaviour reports, student documents, policies, and wellbeing information add even more layers. Much of that information can remain disconnected. Edu Intelligence is designed to pull those signals together. The goal is not simply more reporting. It is to help leaders understand what the information is actually telling them.

AI Could Turn Analytics Into a Daily School Tool

Traditional analytics tools can be useful, but they often demand setup and training. That limits how often busy school leaders use them. Natural-language AI changes the interaction. Instead of learning where to click, a user can simply ask a question. That makes analytics feel less like a specialist task. It could become part of normal school decision-making rather than something reserved for periodic reports.

Edu Intelligence Brings More Than Student Performance Data

The platform is not limited to grades or exam results. Edu Intelligence can work across assessment, attendance, behaviour, policies, student documents, and other school information. It can also recommend possible actions based on the evidence it finds. That gives the system a broader role. It is closer to an AI assistant for school improvement than a conventional reporting dashboard.

Faria Is Leaning Further Into an AI-First Strategy

Faria CEO Oleg Figlin said AI-powered analytics is central to where education technology is heading. The acquisition gives Faria both an established product and a team with AI and data science expertise. Faria wants to combine that capability with its existing global infrastructure. The company sees the result as a more connected ecosystem for schools.

Edu Intelligence Gets a Much Larger Global Reach

The deal also changes the scale available to Edu Intelligence. The platform was developed by Welbee, which was founded in 2018. Welbee already works with hundreds of UK schools and trusts. Joining Faria puts Edu Intelligence inside a network spanning 155 countries. Founder and CEO Mark Solomons said the combination should help the platform reach more schools faster.

AI in Education Is Moving Toward Institutional Decision-Making

A lot of the AI discussion in education has focused on students using chatbots. Teachers using AI for lesson planning has taken plenty of attention too. This acquisition points somewhere else. AI is moving into the operational side of education.

Schools need to understand attendance patterns. They need to spot changes in behaviour and wellbeing. Leaders also have to connect those signals with academic performance.

That is a different kind of AI use case. It is less visible than a chatbot in a classroom, but potentially more embedded in how schools operate.

Faria’s acquisition suggests that school analytics could become one of those quieter AI markets. The technology sits behind the scenes, but it influences real decisions.

And with Faria already reaching millions of students, Edu Intelligence now has a much bigger stage.
