Peek is expanding the capabilities of its artificial intelligence-powered platform for the experiences industry, which includes organizations involved with museums, theme parks, tours and activities, and cultural attractions.

The company announced in a Thursday (Nov. 20) press release that it acquired two companies, ACME Ticketing and Connect&Go, and raised $70 million in a Series D funding round.

“These acquisitions and new funding enable us to further accelerate our product innovation and deepen our support, ultimately helping operators grow their businesses,” Peek CEO Ruzwana Bashir said in the release. “We’re committed to giving activities operators the tools they need to not just compete, but to lead, in today’s rapidly evolving experiences economy.”

With the acquisition of ACME, Peek will gain expertise in ticketing infrastructure, memberships and donations for cultural institutions, according to the release.

The acquisition of Connect&Go will add an all-in-one attraction management solution that includes RFID technology and on-site visitor tools, per the release.

Peek’s platform has already helped thousands of merchants and managed $7 billion in bookings, according to the release. With these acquisitions, the company will extend its reach to experiences industry institutions that serve more than 150 million consumers.

Waqar Islam, a vice president at Springcoast Partners, which led the funding round, said in the release that Peek’s tech stack will help the industry keep up with changing consumer and workforce behaviors.

“With 40% of operators not utilizing online booking tools, we’re still in the very early innings of empowering operators to thrive in a digital-first world,” Islam said. “Peek’s deep investment in core tech infrastructure, AI and payments uniquely positions them to unlock the industry’s full potential and serve as the operating system for experiences.”

ACME Ticketing said in a Thursday post on LinkedIn that as it joins Peek, it will continue to deliver what its customers and partners value about its services, while also gaining scale and technology to accelerate its development.

“Together with Peek’s AI-powered platform and our expertise in memberships and visitor engagement, we’re building something transformative for the museums and attractions we love,” ACME Ticketing said in its post.

Connect&Go said in a Thursday post on LinkedIn that as it joins Peek, it will continue with its operator-led growth while also gaining more power to make operators’ operations smoother.

“We couldn’t be more excited to join a global team with over 150 million customers that shares our most important value: putting the operator’s needs at the heart of every innovation,” Connect&Go said in its post.
