Terra Invest Backs Abu Dhabi AI Firm AIREV to Expand Sovereign AI in Finance and Healthcare

Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence company AIREV has secured strategic investment from Singapore-based Terra Invest, strengthening its position in the growing market for sovereign AI technology.

The funding will support the expansion of AIREV’s OnDemand agentic AI platform while opening new opportunities in financial services, healthcare and international markets. The agreement also connects AIREV with companies in Terra Invest’s investment portfolio, creating potential commercial applications for its technology.

The financial terms of the investment have not been disclosed. Still, the partnership marks another step in AIREV’s international expansion as Abu Dhabi continues to attract investors interested in locally developed AI systems.

Terra Invest Investment Supports AIREV’s International Expansion

Terra Invest’s participation in AIREV’s strategic funding round brings additional international investment into Abu Dhabi’s artificial intelligence sector. The investment firm operates across several major financial centres, including Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London and Miami, giving AIREV access to a broader network of business relationships and potential customers.

For AIREV, the investment is about more than securing capital. The company is looking to bring its sovereign AI technology into industries where security, regulatory compliance and operational reliability are essential. Terra Invest’s existing business portfolio provides opportunities to test those capabilities in commercial environments.

The agreement also reflects growing investor interest in AI companies developing products for specific industries rather than relying solely on general-purpose AI services. Financial institutions and healthcare providers, in particular, are exploring ways to automate complex processes without surrendering control over sensitive information.

AIREV’s OnDemand Platform Targets Enterprise AI Adoption

AIREV has built its business around OnDemand, a no-code and low-code platform that allows organisations to create, deploy and manage autonomous AI agents. These agents can perform specialised tasks, support business operations and work across different computing environments.

According to figures reported by the company, OnDemand serves more than four million users, supports over 300 specialised AI agents and operates in more than 50 languages. The platform also processed approximately 6.8 trillion tokens during the second quarter of 2026, representing a substantial increase compared with the previous year.

One of its distinguishing features is deployment flexibility. Businesses can operate OnDemand through cloud infrastructure, private environments, sovereign data centres or directly on supported devices. This gives organisations greater control over how their AI systems process information and where sensitive data remains.

That approach is particularly relevant for businesses facing strict data protection requirements. Rather than transferring every task to external cloud services, organisations can choose infrastructure that better matches their security policies and operational needs.

Kairos Wealth Partnership Brings Agentic AI Into Financial Services

AIREV’s partnership with Kairos Wealth will introduce agentic AI capabilities into financial operations used by family offices and professional wealth managers. The collaboration focuses on intelligent trading, portfolio management, financial advisory services and regulatory compliance, including RegTech applications.

These areas involve large volumes of financial information and processes that demand accuracy, security and oversight. AI agents could help investment professionals analyse portfolios, monitor market information and manage administrative workflows more efficiently. The companies intend to develop applications that fit within existing financial regulations rather than treating automation as a replacement for human accountability.

The partnership also aims to improve cross-border capital access, connecting international investors with opportunities in the UAE and surrounding markets. For Terra Invest, integrating AIREV’s technology into Kairos Wealth creates a direct commercial opportunity while supporting the broader development of AI-powered financial services. Shookra One Introduces AI-Powered Healthcare Applications

Healthcare is another important part of the agreement, with AIREV working alongside Shookra, a physician-led company specialising in longevity, regenerative medicine and aesthetics. The collaboration includes Shookra One, a smart-ring programme powered by AIREV’s OnDemand platform.

Shookra One combines biometric information, advanced diagnostics and physician-designed health protocols to provide personalised insights. By incorporating agentic AI, the programme aims to make health-related information more useful and accessible while supporting medical professionals in interpreting data.

The healthcare sector presents particular challenges for AI developers because patient information requires careful handling and automated recommendations must meet demanding standards. AIREV’s ability to operate across private infrastructure and controlled computing environments could make its platform relevant to organisations seeking greater control over sensitive health data.

The companies have not disclosed detailed adoption figures or clinical performance results for Shookra One. Its long-term success will depend on how effectively the technology performs in practical healthcare settings. Emirates News Agency+1

Abu Dhabi’s Sovereign AI Industry Attracts International Investment

The Terra Invest deal arrives as Abu Dhabi strengthens its position in the global artificial intelligence industry. The emirate has been encouraging investment in advanced technologies, particularly businesses developing AI infrastructure and applications that can operate under national data protection and regulatory requirements.

AIREV’s development fits within that direction. Founded in September 2023 and structured through an Abu Dhabi Global Market holding company, the business has concentrated on creating AI technology that organisations can deploy without depending entirely on overseas cloud infrastructure.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade and chairman of AIREV, described the investment as evidence of international confidence in the country’s technology and investment environment. He also highlighted the importance of partnerships that combine financial backing with practical technological development.

The investment follows discussions between UAE and Singapore officials about expanding bilateral trade and investment cooperation. It adds another commercial connection between the two countries at a time when AI is becoming an increasingly important part of their technology strategies. Emirates News Agency+1

AIREV Looks to Scale Its AI Technology Across Regulated Industries

For AIREV, the next challenge is turning its expanding technology platform into sustainable commercial operations. The company already reports millions of users and substantial growth in AI processing activity, but enterprise adoption requires more than strong usage figures.

Financial institutions and healthcare organisations need systems that can integrate with existing software, protect sensitive information and meet regulatory expectations. They also need evidence that AI agents can perform consistently in environments where mistakes carry significant consequences.

Muhammad Khalid, AIREV’s co-founder and chief executive officer, has emphasised the company’s ambition to move its technology deeper into business operations. The Kairos Wealth partnership represents an opportunity to integrate AI directly into regulated financial workflows rather than limiting it to supporting tasks.

Terra Invest’s backing could help accelerate that effort by connecting AIREV with established businesses and international investment networks. The investment amount remains undisclosed, making it difficult to assess the immediate financial impact of the funding.

What is clearer is the commercial direction. AIREV is pursuing industries where secure AI deployment, operational control and regulatory compliance are central to technology purchasing decisions. ZAWYA+1

Terra Invest Deal Highlights the UAE’s Growing AI Ambitions

The UAE has placed artificial intelligence at the centre of its long-term economic development plans. Under the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, the country is targeting an estimated AI contribution of AED 335 billion, approximately $91 billion, by 2031.

International investment remains important to that ambition. The UAE attracted approximately $48.3 billion in foreign direct investment during 2025, according to figures cited in the AIREV announcement, placing it among the world’s leading investment destinations.

The Terra Invest partnership offers an example of how AI companies in the country are seeking to combine foreign capital with locally developed technology and industry-specific applications.

AIREV now has an opportunity to demonstrate its OnDemand platform in financial services and healthcare, two sectors where the commercial potential of agentic AI is considerable but adoption comes with demanding requirements.

Whether those initiatives develop into large-scale deployments remains uncertain. For the moment, the investment strengthens AIREV’s international relationships and gives the Abu Dhabi company another route into markets looking for AI systems that offer greater control over data and infrastructure.
