Longevium Opens AI Research Lab in Dubai After $7M Funding Round

Dubai’s push to become a global centre for AI-driven healthcare just gained another project.

Longevium has secured $7 million in its first funding round and is moving ahead with plans to build a Longevity AI Research Laboratory at Dubai Science Park. The facility is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. This gives the company a dedicated research hub focused on extending healthy human lifespan through artificial intelligence and biomedical science.

A Research Hub Instead of Another Clinic

The new laboratory is not being built as a medical centre for patients.

Instead, Longevium says the facility will operate purely as a research and development centre where AI, clinical expertise and biomedical research come together to create new preventive healthcare technologies. The company’s goal is to predict disease risks earlier and measure biological ageing more accurately. In addition, it aims to develop tools that help people stay healthier for longer.

That approach fits neatly into Dubai’s wider ambition of becoming a leader in longevity medicine and healthcare innovation. This is an area that has attracted growing investment across the UAE over the past few years.

AI Will Sit at the Centre of Every Research Project

Longevium plans to explore several emerging technologies inside the new lab rather than concentrating on a single AI application.

Among the projects are AI-powered digital twins that could allow doctors to simulate treatments before they are used on real patients. Researchers will also study regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and advanced cell therapies. Furthermore, they will work on robotic diagnostic systems designed to detect disease earlier and more accurately.

The company is also investigating wearable health technologies, AI-assisted diagnostic devices and biological age modelling. This modelling combines laboratory results, imaging and wearable sensor data into a single assessment of a person’s health.

Building on Existing AI Healthcare Tools

The laboratory will expand technologies already being used across Longevium’s healthcare network.

Those include Doctor Deep, an AI assistant designed to support physicians, along with the company’s biological age assessment platform. The research team hopes the new facility will accelerate development of more advanced diagnostic systems. At the same time, it aims to create larger datasets to improve AI models for preventive medicine.

Rather than treating AI as an add-on, the company is positioning it as the foundation for future healthcare research.

    Partnerships and Talent Recruitment Begin

Construction is already underway, but Longevium is also looking beyond the building itself.

The company is actively recruiting scientists and seeking partnerships with universities, clinical organisations, investors and technology firms working in AI-enabled diagnostics, longevity science and preventive healthcare. Those collaborations are expected to play a major role as research programmes expand. This will be especially important after the laboratory opens later this year.

Founder and CEO Dr. Ksenia Butova said the long-term vision is to make advanced longevity technologies available to more people. In addition, the company wants to help shape a future where healthy lifespans continue to increase through scientific innovation.

Dubai Continues Investing in AI-Driven Healthcare

The project reflects a broader trend across the UAE, where artificial intelligence is becoming a key part of national healthcare and research strategies.

Instead of limiting AI to administrative tasks or hospital workflows, organisations are increasingly using it to tackle complex medical challenges, from predicting disease to developing personalised treatment strategies. Longevium’s new laboratory adds another piece to that growing ecosystem. Furthermore, it signals that longevity research is becoming an increasingly important part of Dubai’s AI ambitions.
