    Mass power outages, air travel delays and traffic congestion are infrastructure issues that impact us all. That’s why Google Public Sector wants to help governments and organizations use AI to build more responsive and accessible government services, address climate challenges and even fix potholes. Now, we’re expanding our support of startups using AI to deliver essential, everyday services better and faster via the Google for Startups AI Academy: American Infrastructure program. The 15 AI companies selected for the inaugural cohort all aim to help governments and communities address pressing challenges at scale.

    Over a period of 12 weeks, participating founders and their teams will engage in an intensive AI curriculum led by Google’s People + AI Research (PAIR) team. Founders will also complete our advanced sales training and go-to-market workshops to help them grow their businesses. Each founder will be paired with a dedicated Google mentor and connected to the global Google for Startups alumni community.

    Aquasight (Michigan) mines, predicts and generates real-time insights for water and wastewater system operators.

    Citian (Washington, DC) delivers innovative transportation technology, keeping people safer through more safe and accessible infrastructure.

    Cloverleaf AI (Colorado) helps businesses stay informed on relevant government activity.

    Concrete.ai (California) optimizes the cost and efficiency of concrete mixing for infrastructure projects.

    CPNET (Pennsylvania) helps factories unlock untapped physical capacity of their production lines.

    Geolabe (New Mexico) helps organizations measure their environmental footprint and identify remedial actions.

    Ilmiya (Minnesota) personalizes the student journey, automatically optimizes learning outcomes and proactively engages with learners.

    Julius Edu (Massachusetts) matches jobseekers and employers for the future of energy.

    Multiscale Technologies (Georgia ) provides insights into manufacturing process optimization speeding up the R&D process for semiconductors, battery materials, structural materials and more.

    Pathways (New York) helps material manufacturers understand, reduce and report on the environmental impact of their products.

    Pharma Acuity (Connecticut) accelerates clinical trials and commercialization of pharmaceutical products.

    Simerse AI (Missouri) provides infrastructure mapping for utilities, public works and transit operators.

    Welfie (California) helps care providers and educators improve health outcomes for children in underserved communities.

    Whistle Systems (Missouri) improves employee behavioral change in the construction vertical.

    Zordi (Massachusetts) builds autonomous greenhouse farms and agricultural analytics to drive innovations in farming.
