TRENDS Research and Advisory is participating as a knowledge partner in the 2025 Ai Everything GLOBAL Summit, which kicked off yesterday, Tuesday, at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi. The summit runs until February 6 in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The center is also present at the accompanying conference and exhibition held on February 5 and 6 at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai. TRENDS is showcasing an innovative knowledge booth (booth number E30, Hall 6) enhanced with AI-driven tools and technologies, featuring a podcast studio, interactive chatbot robots, and a smart library displaying the center’s latest research and knowledge publications.
Addressing Deepfake Proliferation
On the summit’s opening day, TRENDS launched a new book in English titled “The New AI Era.. Transforming Governance and Society”. The book is authored by TRENDS’ senior researchers Noura Al-Habsi, Director of Scientific Publishing, Noor Al-Mazrouei, Head of the AI Program, and Gina Bou Serhal.
The publication explores the transformative impact of AI on governance, society and innovation, highlighting issues such as the proliferation of deepfakes and the spread of misinformation. It also emphasizes the dual role AI plays in driving geopolitical and societal transformations.

The book offers a balanced perspective on how governments, industries, and individuals can adapt to rapid AI advancements. It explores intersections between AI and governance, offering deeper insights into effectively navigating this new era with better preparedness.
The chapters present forward-thinking perspectives and innovative research on the profound implications of AI on society. Topics include the destabilizing effects of deepfake technologies, AI’s role as a geopolitical tool for soft power, its transformative impact on professions such as law, and the opportunities and challenges posed by AI in a rapidly changing world.

He highlighted TRENDS’ pivotal role in exploring AI-driven transformations across sectors. The center recently launched a dedicated AI research program to produce forward-looking studies and analytical reports exploring AI technologies and their roles in sectors such as health, education, security, and the economy, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of how AI can drive innovation and support science and knowledge.
Exploring Knowledge Collaboration
The TRENDS team participating in the Ai Everything GLOBAL Summit 2025 met with key figures, officials, researchers and specialists in AI technologies. They discussed potential collaborations and partnerships in future studies, AI research, and advanced technology initiatives. The team also participated in several panel discussions and sessions throughout the summit’s agenda.
Moreover, TRENDS signed copies of its book “The New AI Era.. Transforming Governance and Society”, which was launched on the summit’s opening day. The book was presented to several officials and AI experts, including H.E. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Bannai, Advisor to the President of the UAE for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology and Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council, as well as H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.
