The move strengthens collaboration with HUMAIN, an AI company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
The new location will serve as a regional base for engineering, partnerships, and business operations. The office will support work tied to HUMAIN Create, a generative AI initiative focused on Arabic-language foundation models.
Luma AI Riyadh Office and HUMAIN Create Collaboration
The Luma AI Riyadh office will contribute to the development of Saudi-built foundation models trained on Arabic language data. HUMAIN Create aims to build culturally grounded generative AI systems tailored to the region.
Luma AI will provide technical expertise and generative AI capabilities. The collaboration includes model training and infrastructure support. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader AI strategy.
The Riyadh office will also help coordinate regional enterprise relationships. The company plans to hire local talent in AI engineering, software development, and go-to-market leadership roles.
Luma AI Riyadh Office Partnership With Publicis Groupe
Alongside the Luma AI Riyadh office announcement, the company confirmed a partnership with Publicis Groupe Middle East. Under the agreement, Luma AI becomes the preferred generative AI technology partner for Publicis in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.
Publicis Groupe will integrate Luma’s multimodal AI and generative video technology into creative workflows. The collaboration focuses on AI-driven content production and creative automation.
Infrastructure and Regional AI Development
The expansion connects to Project Halo, a planned 2-gigawatt AI supercluster in Saudi Arabia. The infrastructure is designed to provide large-scale computing power for training and inference workloads.
Luma AI’s generative video and image technologies are already used by studios and agencies internationally. The Riyadh office strengthens its operational footprint in the Middle East while supporting Arabic-native AI model development.
The company stated that the new office will act as a hub for innovation, partnerships, and deployment of generative AI tools across the region.
