Thailand Strengthens AI-Driven Tourism Marketing with Baidu Partnership for 2025

In a major push to enhance Thailand’s appeal among Chinese travelers, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Beijing Baidu Netcom Science Technology. This initiative is part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, aimed at positioning Thailand as a premier global tourism destination.

The agreement, formalized through a Letter of Intent (LOI) signed on February 27, 2025, leverages Baidu’s advanced AI technologies and extensive digital ecosystem to engage and attract high-value Chinese tourists. The LOI was signed by Mr. Nithee Seeprae, TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, and Ms. Wang Yanli, General Manager of Baidu’s Channels Ecosystem Cooperation Department, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Baidu’s Role in Enhancing Thailand’s Tourism Appeal

Baidu, a leader in artificial intelligence and digital solutions, will play a key role in elevating Thailand’s tourism branding in China. The company operates in Thailand through its Southeast Asian representative, Yunshang Technology, alongside its local partner, We Bridge Marketing Solution. Beyond its well-known search engine, Baidu offers an array of AI-powered tools, including Baidu Maps, Baidu Cloud, and digital marketing solutions, which will be used to promote Thailand’s travel experiences more effectively.

This partnership will focus on AI-driven travel insights, customized content, and targeted marketing strategies to strengthen Thailand’s digital presence in China. With 2025 set to be a pivotal year for Thailand’s tourism industry, the collaboration highlights the country’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to attract quality visitors and boost tourism revenue.

China: Thailand’s Largest Tourism Market

In 2024, Thailand welcomed over 35.54 million international visitors, with 6.73 million arrivals from China, making Chinese travelers the largest inbound market. This longstanding tourism connection underscores the deep economic and cultural ties between the two nations.

By integrating AI-powered marketing solutions, the newly signed TAT-Baidu partnership is expected to further increase Chinese tourist arrivals in 2025, significantly contributing to Thailand’s ambitious tourism growth targets. This collaboration reinforces Thailand’s position as a leading tourism hub in the region, ensuring a dynamic and immersive experience for global travelers.
