Orbit Unveils Pragmatic AI Decision Platform at Machines Can Think Summit 2026

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Daniel Alexandre Pinto Almeida, Co-Founder and CEO of Orbit, shared how his company is redefining enterprise decision-making through pragmatic AI during the Machines Can Think Summit 2026. Almeida spoke in an interview with Justin Cooke, outlining Orbit’s vision for reducing complexity and cognitive load across modern organizations.

Orbit is a Portuguese AI startup building what it calls an intelligence-led platform. The solution sits on top of an organization’s existing technology stack, including productivity tools, CRMs, ERPs, and collaboration platforms, and acts as a unifying intelligence layer.

“In most companies, people become the integration layer,” Almeida said. “Employees spend enormous time reconciling data across systems instead of making decisions.”

Orbit’s platform connects these fragmented tools and surfaces context in real time, enabling faster, more informed decision-making. By reducing manual reconciliation, the platform helps employees focus on higher-value work while preserving institutional knowledge across teams.

“We help companies make better decisions, faster,” Almeida said.

Almeida cited the UAE and Abu Dhabi as a compelling environment for innovation. While Europe produces strong research and discussion around innovation, he noted that execution often lags behind ambition. In contrast, the UAE combines investment, speed, and pragmatism.

“There is boldness here, but also pragmatism,” he said. “Return on investment matters.”

Orbit’s approach aligns closely with this mindset. The company focuses on measurable business outcomes rather than experimental deployments. AI must demonstrate value within real operating environments.

What excites Almeida most about the region is openness across both public and private sectors. Institutions actively seek new technologies that improve services for citizens and organizations.

“The openness to implement new ideas here is remarkable,” he said.

Looking ahead, Almeida expects Orbit to scale rapidly. Within a year, he anticipates the platform supporting decision-making across a growing number of organizations, reducing cognitive overload and building what Orbit calls a “context graph,” a living institutional memory that evolves with the business.

“Context should not live in people’s heads,” Almeida said. “It should live in systems that support them.”

On a personal level, Almeida expressed excitement about engaging with global AI leaders at the summit and introducing Orbit to new partners and customers. He sees strong potential for the company’s growth trajectory.

“We believe we can become a unicorn,” he said.

Almeida closed with a confident message to the market.

“We are coming with pragmatic AI that delivers real value,” he said.

The interview reflected key themes of the Machines Can Think Summit 2026, enterprise AI adoption, decision intelligence, and the shift from experimentation to measurable impact.
