An introductory meeting was held about the fourth edition of the LEAP Technology Conference, which will be held under the slogan “Towards New Horizons” during the period from February 9 to 12, 2025. It discussed the most prominent features that will be presented in the current edition, and the role of the conference in enhancing Riyadh’s position as an incubator for technology and innovation, and shaping the digital future.
The meeting was attended by Yasser Al-Osaimi, the official spokesman for the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, Ihab Al-Tarhouni, the executive expert at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ali Al-Odan, the Director of the Government Relations Department at the Digital Government Authority, and Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa, the leader of the marketing, communication and identity track at the conference.
The current edition of the conference includes the “Tech Arena” to highlight the world of robotics, artificial intelligence, healthcare technologies, and mixed reality. The innovative arena will also serve as a link between design and technology, and showcase the great progress in the field of healthcare technology, such as: Terra Drone drug delivery technology that helps transport medical supplies to remote and rugged areas by air. Saudi Aramco will also display its smart device supported by artificial intelligence SARA at “LEAP”, and the American company Engine VR will present its Golden Gloves VR platform, which uses virtual reality technology to provide an enjoyable boxing experience for sports fans, with the participation of UFC fighter Andrew Sanchez. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the platform themselves, through various levels. The arena also allows exploring smart contact lenses that integrate computing technology into a wearable device, which is the beginning of a new and different era of interaction with data.
In support of non-profit efforts at LEAP 2025, Alwaleed Philanthropies is participating through the “Atlai” platform to help in global efforts to combat desertification, as this technology works to protect and monitor forests.
It is worth noting that the “Tech Arena” is one of the new platforms at LEAP, along with the Sports Technology Platform, which focuses on the latest developments in the sports sector.
