U.S. Bank now offers its business clients an artificial intelligence-enabled cash forecasting tool powered by Kyriba’s liquidity performance platform.

The new U.S. Bank Liquidity Manager leverages traditional methods and AI to deliver cash forecasting, scenario planning and operational efficiency for mid-sized and large firms, the bank said in a Tuesday (Nov. 18) press release.

The tool can be accessed by clients through U.S. Bank’s treasury management platform, SinglePoint, according to the release.

Its features include cash forecasting, cash positioning, cash pooling, multi-bank reporting and enhanced visibility, per the release. The tool’s automation and centralization reduce operational costs, while its streamlined workflows boost operational efficiency, the release said.

“Many companies struggle to obtain a timely and accurate view of their liquidity, especially when managing multiple bank accounts across geographies and currencies,” Kristy Carstensen, who leads Treasury and Payment Solutions at U.S. Bank, said in the release.

The U.S. Bank Liquidity Manager addresses these challenges by automating processes, providing actionable insights and helping clients make strategic financial decisions, Carstensen said.

Bruno Ferreira, chief revenue officer at Kyriba, said in the release that this solution can “elevate liquidity management and cash forecasting for businesses.”

“By combining Kyriba’s secure, trusted AI-enabled technologies with U.S. Bank’s deep payments and banking expertise, we deliver real-time visibility across every account and region,” Ferreira said. “This clarity empowers treasurers and finance teams to make confident decisions exactly when they need to, without guesswork or delays.”

Kyriba said in April 2024 that it enhanced its liquidity performance platform by adding AI features that improve cash forecasting, bank connectivity-as-a-service and custom report generation.

The company said the platform’s Cash Flow AI feature allows treasury teams to incorporate more advanced data into their forecasting processes and increase the accuracy of liquidity projections.

Meanwhile, U.S. Bank announced another update to SinglePoint in October, saying the enhancements to the treasury management platform were designed to help the bank’s business clients more easily manage their liquidity, cash flow and financial risk.

The features added at that time included “configurable, persona-based” dashboards and user flows as well as improved risk management and fraud protection with controls and improved workflows designed to prevent the risk of fraudulent payments.
