Cybersecurity vendor CrowdStrike recently announced it would expand integration with Google Cloud to enable end-to-end security for AI innovation with CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security. Google Cloud recently named CrowdStrike its Security Partner of the Year for Cloud Workload Security, honoring the company as a leader in implementing security solutions, including infrastructure, workloads, applications, identities, data, SaaS, and AI models from a single, unified platform.
“Google Cloud’s Partner Awards recognize partners who have created outsized value for customers through the delivery of innovative solutions and a high level of expertise,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President of Google Cloud’s Global Partner Ecosystem. “We’re proud to announce CrowdStrike as a 2025 Google Cloud Partner Award winner and celebrate their impact enabling customer success over the past year.”
Among the expanded integrations for the CrowdStrike and Google Cloud partnership:
- AI Image Scanning: Identifies vulnerabilities and misconfigurations early in the build phase.
- ARM64 Compliance Enforcement: Prevents non-compliant containers from reaching production.
- Container Escape Detection: Manages container services like Google Cloud Run that stop runtime threats targeting containerized AI workloads.
Falcon Cloud Security enables end-to-end protection by combining with AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), Falcon Data Protection, and AI Red Team Services to further protect AI deployments and sensitive data on Google Cloud.
“Cloud security has never been more critical, especially as organizations accelerate AI innovation,” CrowdStrike chief business officer Daniel Bernard said. “Visibility and alerts alone aren’t enough– security teams need real-time protection that keeps pace with how AI workloads are built and run. CrowdStrike leads in runtime security and cloud detection and response, delivering the speed and scale demanded by modern, hybrid-cloud development. Together with Google Cloud, we’re empowering customers to innovate with confidence, securing the infrastructure, data, and models powering the AI revolution—with cloud security’s leading solution that delivers on the promise of stopping breaches.”
Bernard recently spoke with Channel Insider to provide more context behind CrowdStrike’s recognition by Google Cloud and the future of AI for the organization. He said the award from Google Cloud is a strong validation of CrowdStrike’s leadership in protecting critical workloads, especially as organizations adopt AI at scale.
“Our approach unified visibility and protection across the entire cloud estate, from code to cloud, powered by industry-leading runtime protection and cloud detection and response (CDR),” Bernard said. “Being named Google Cloud’s top security partner underscores the strength of our technology, the depth of our collaboration, and the outcomes we’re driving for joint customers.”
Bernard said that the key factors contributing to CrowdStrike receiving the award from Google Cloud comes down to three things: outcomes, innovation, and partnership.
- CrowdStrike helps customers move faster and reduce risk through consolidation of disjointed point products into a unified platform for real-time visibility and protection.
- CrowdStrike continues to innovate with capabilities like AI-SPM, which uses their threat intelligence and telemetry to automatically identify and prioritize the risks that matter most, including for AI workloads.
- CrowdStrike’s partnership with Google Cloud runs across product, go-to-market, and global customer success.
CrowdStrike’s innovations have helped organizations reduce risk faster where traditional tools fall short. Traditional tools weren’t built for the speed of DevOps and the complexity of AI-driven environments, while creating silos, overwhelming teams with noise, and leaving dangerous blind spots.
“Falcon Cloud Security is different: it’s a unified CNAPP that combines agentless visibility with agent-based runtime protection to stop breaches in real time,” said Bernard. “With an adversary-focused AI-powered approach, we help customers reduce risk faster and accelerate innovation securely across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.”
Looking forward, the evolution of AI will mean securing AI to protect the entire lifecycle including models, data, APIs, and infrastructure they run on, Bernard said, while the future of cloud security will come down to speed, intelligence, and integration.
CrowdStrike currently delivers runtime protection for AI workloads in Google Cloud and is focusing on AI-powered innovations like AI-SPM, giving customers real-time, contextual insights into how adversaries exploit misconfigurations or weaknesses in AI environments.
“AI will accelerate everything—including the adversary,” he said. “Organizations need security that’s not just layered on top, but embedded into every layer of their infrastructure. That’s exactly where CrowdStrike leads– unifying AI-powered protection across endpoint, cloud, identity, and AI models. Our expanded partnership with Google Cloud strengthens our role at the center of this transformation.”
